Consulting on the set-up as well as managing the media center and media facilities
For the inaugural Las Vegas Grand Prix in November 2023, I was asked by the promoter to advise them on all aspects of the media installations that are required by the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) for all Formula One events world-wide. From early 2023, I regularly worked with the organizers to put in place all required elements, like setting up the media center including furniture, advise on the Internet system, the accreditation system and procedure, requirements for photographers and the press conferences, shuttle service and much more. I worked closely with all other external suppliers to make sure the requirements were met and installed in time for the event.
For the race itself, I brought a small, experienced media team with me to Las Vegas who helped me run all elements of the media center, the media accreditation center as well as all media facilities (press conference, media interviews, shuttle service, etc.). Two weeks before the race, we started overseeing the media center installations and set-up and made sure that everything was delivered and set up as necessary and in time. During the event, we were in charge of making sure the media center and accreditation process ran smoothly, solving any issues as soon as possible and generally making sure that each journalist had the set-up and information they needed to do their work. We also were responsible of managing the media staff and technicians that helped make sure the event ran smoothly.
